About OneWaste℠

OneWaste℠ is your dedicated waste partner

OneWaste℠ is The Wilmington Group’s fully managed waste and recycling service.

Most companies approach waste management by optimizing what you’re already doing. We approach it differently. We start by understanding what you should be doing, such as which streams you’re not capturing, which costs you’re absorbing unnecessarily, and which vendors aren’t performing to contract, and we build a program around that.

We don’t own landfills. We own and operate recycling plants. That distinction isn’t incidental. It’s the foundation of a model where our incentives are aligned with yours: divert more, waste less, and continuously find better ways to create value from the material your operation generates.

How we work

Built for complexity. Designed around you

Asset medium

We’re not bound by filling trucks or landfills, so we design programs around your operations. Owning strategic recycling infrastructure gives us industry credibility that pure asset-light brokers can’t match.

Credible waste audits

Our audits carry weight because we have skin in the game. We operate recycling plants, we understand the market, and we’re accountable to every recommendation we make.

National reach and resilience

We own and operate recycling plants across the country with reciprocal relationships elsewhere. This gives us pricing leverage, capacity coverage, and resilience against market volatility.

Price flexibility

We’re not beholden to asset utilization targets. That freedom lets us structure pricing around what you actually need, and benchmark it annually so you’re never quietly overpaying.

The OneWaste difference

What changes when OneWaste℠ manages your waste

Centralized management

One partner for every restaurant, every stream, every issue. Someone who picks up the phone and treats your problem like it’s their own.

Invoices you can trust

We audit every invoice against your contract terms before it reaches you. If something’s off, we catch it, dispute it, and make it right.

Rates that stay competitive

We keep one eye on your program and one eye on the market, so your rates stay competitive long after the contract is signed.

Our foundation

Nearly five decades of building what others couldn’t

OneWaste is powered by The Wilmington Group, a family-built business founded in 1977 as Wilmington Paper Corporation. Over the decades, the business grew from a single paper recycling operation into a multi-company platform serving hundreds of distribution centers, manufacturing plants, retail operations, and folding carton facilities across the United States, Canada, and Europe.

In 2008, The Wilmington Group launched its own network of recycling processing plants starting with a single facility in Raleigh, NC processing 600 tons per month. Today, that network spans nine plants moving close to 50,000 tons monthly. That infrastructure, built over 18 years, is what gives OneWaste the credibility, leverage, and national reach to deliver on its promises. You’re not working with a startup that rents its credibility. You’re working with a company that built it.
